Leadership Succession Protocol

A procedure for managing power transitions between rulers based on ancient Chinese succession practices.

Overview

This procedure outlines the formal process for transferring authority from one ruler to the successor.

Steps

  1. Designation of Successor

    • Current ruler recommends successor to heaven (荐于天)
    • Successor serves as heir apparent (嗣)
    • Period of joint governance may occur

  2. Mourning Period

    • Observe three-year mourning period (三年丧)
