Strategic Exfiltration Plan

A method for extracting important personnel from hostile detention using disguise and misdirection.

Steps

  1. Assess the stakes - Determine what happens if extraction fails (e.g., succession crisis)
  2. Identify the window - Find a legitimate reason for movement (e.g., envoy departure)
  3. Create the disguise - Transform the VIP into a servant role (e.g., carriage driver)
  4. Establish the cover story - Prepare a plausible explanation for the VIP's absence (e.g., illness)
  5. Execute the extraction - VIP departs with legitimate travelers in disguise
  6. Maintain the deception - Continue the cover story until extraction is confirmed
  7. Accept consequences - The facilitator remains behind and accepts potential punishment
  8. Leverage relationships - Use allies to advocate for leniency after extraction is complete

Key Principle

The facilitator must be willing to sacrifice themselves to ensure the VIP's escape.

Expected Outcomes

  • VIP reaches safety
  • Facilitator may face punishment but often gains respect for loyalty

Verification

  1. Confirm that a plausible cover story for the VIP's absence is prepared and can withstand initial scrutiny.
  2. Validate that the extraction window aligns with legitimate movement (e.g., envoy departure) to reduce suspicion.
  3. Ensure the facilitator has accepted potential consequences and that allies are prepared to advocate for leniency afterward.
