Crisis Management Protocol (危机应对程序)

Procedures for managing political crises, drawn from Zhou dynasty examples.

Natural Disaster Response

Earthquake Protocol (伯阳甫's Analysis)

  1. Interpret the Signs

    • "阳伏而不能出，阴迫而不能蒸" (Yang trapped, Yin compressed)
    • Recognize as warning of regime failure

  2. Historical Pattern Recognition

    • "昔伊、洛竭而夏亡" (Yi and Luo dried up, Xia fell)
    • "河竭而商亡" (Yellow River dried up, Shang fell)
    • Apply lessons to current situation

  3. Timeline Assessment

Validation

  • Verify that feedback channels (公卿献诗, 瞽献曲, 史献书, etc.) are established and functioning before crisis escalates
  • Confirm that historical pattern analysis was applied to interpret natural disaster signs and set reform timelines
  • Check that regency protocols include a defined endpoint for returning power to the legitimate ruler when ready
