Besieged Force Defense

Overview

Tactical approach for defending against a numerically superior enemy that has surrounded your position. Emphasizes formation discipline, ammunition conservation, and targeting enemy leadership.

Steps

  1. Form circular defensive position: Arrange forces in a circle facing outward to defend all directions

  2. Conserve ammunition: Order soldiers to hold bows drawn but not fire until optimal targets appear

  3. Target enemy commanders: Use skilled marksmen to specifically target enemy officers and leaders

  4. Maintain composure: Leaders must display calm confidence regardless of the situation

  5. Continue resistance through nightfall: Hold position and continue fighting until darkness or reinforcements arrive

  6. Boost morale through action: Send small forces on aggressive sorties to demonstrate continued fighting capability

  • When to hold fire vs. when to release
