Covert Access Strategy
A methodology for gaining proximity to protected targets through legitimate diplomatic or official channels.
Overview
Based on Jing Ke's approach to accessing the Qin King, this strategy uses legitimate offerings and diplomatic protocols to overcome security barriers.
Phase 1: Intelligence Gathering
-
Identify what the target values most:
- Specific individuals (enemies to eliminate)
- Territory or maps
- Rare treasures
- Diplomatic recognition
-
Study security protocols:
- Who has regular access?
- What items are permitted in their presence?
- What credentials are required?
Phase 2: Asset Acquisition
-
Obtain offerings that guarantee audience:
- Enemy heads (verified)
- Strategic maps of desired territory
- Valuable treasures
- Credentials from recognized authorities
-
Prepare concealment:
- Weapons hidden within legitimate items
- Tools disguised as gifts or documents
Phase 3: Intermediary Cultivation
- Identify officials close to the target
- Provide generous gifts to gain their advocacy
- Let them present your request formally
- Have them frame your approach as serving the target's interests
Phase 4: Credential Establishment
- Obtain official diplomatic status
- Prepare documentation showing legitimacy
- Arrange for formal reception protocols
- Select assistants who appear non-threatening
Phase 5: Access Execution
- Enter through official channels
- Display nervousness as cultural unfamiliarity, not threat
- Maintain composure during security procedures
- Position for optimal proximity
Security Adaptation
- If assistants fail: proceed alone
- If security is heightened: use established credentials to reduce suspicion
- If direct approach fails: create distraction and improvise
Key Principles
- Legitimacy is the best cover
- Patience in preparation prevents detection
- Multiple contingencies for multiple failure points
- The offering must be genuine and valuable
Expected Outcomes
- Formal audience granted
- Proximity achieved
- Security protocols navigated
- Opportunity created
Verification
- Confirm that offerings are genuine and valuable enough to guarantee an audience (not easily dismissed or questioned).
- Validate that intermediary officials have been cultivated and are actively advocating for your approach through formal channels.
- Ensure contingency plans exist for each phase (assistant failure, heightened security, direct approach failure) before execution begins.
