Sunny took her father's place in the army, earned distinction as a general, and a decade later revealed she was a woman, causing an uproar. She left her post and returned to civilian life. The emperor compensated her by promoting her ex‑fiancé Philip, who then left Sunny for power and married an imposter claiming to be the general's sister. When turmoil struck the state, chancellor Neil recalled Sunny. Together they exposed the plots, united as partners, and achieved their ambitions.
