The AC dies in the middle of a brutal summer, leaving Becca trapped upstairs with the one person she should never want—her stepbrother. While their mom is just one creaking staircase away, every stolen glance and accidental touch pushes them closer to a line they can never uncross. What begins as a simple repair turns into a dangerous game of temptation, secrets, and forbidden desire. In a house where they must pretend nothing is happening, resisting each other may be the hardest thing they’ve ever done.
