Margaret's empire crumbles when scandal strikes. To protect Nancy, her closest friend, she confesses to crimes she didn't commit and lands in prison. What Margaret doesn't learn until after her release: her own husband orchestrated the whole thing. Once free, Nancy betrays her again, compounding the wreckage. Then a massive serpent emerges from Margaret's past. Years before, she'd saved this creature's life. Now it returns, coiling itself protectively around her, ready to stand against everyone who's wronged her.
