Fiona Shaw had been a rich heiress until three years ago, when her family went bankrupt. To repay her family's enormous debt, she focused on securing an arrangement with the Sterling family and married Henry. However, Henry was gay and deeply in love with his assistant, Louis; he had no feelings for Fiona and never touched her after their wedding night. The only reason for marrying Fiona was to satisfy his mother Elizabeth's, pressure and to produce an heir, ensuring that the family fortune remained in his hands and out of reach of his half-brother, Jeff.
