Caroline was born mute. Even more brutally, her father, a lives-in son-in-law, had hoped to use his child as a means to rise to success, but her arrival shattered his dreams. Anger surged within him like a relentless tide. In a fit of madness, he threatened the butler to kill the baby girl. The butler couldn't bring himself to kill an innocent baby and secretly entrusted Caroline to a rural couple to be raised. Thirty years flew by. Justice would eventually prevail. The sins of the past emerged before the eyes of all, awaiting fate's judgment.
