Isabelle and Derek were young lovers. After Derek witnessed Isabella being abused by her adoptive father, he stabbed the man severely in a fit of rage and was sent to prison. On the very day he was imprisoned, Isabelle broke up with him. Five years later, Derek returned from abroad to attend his brother's engagement party, only to find that his brother's gentle, smiling fiancée was Isabelle—the woman he had buried deep in his heart, a tangled mix of love and resentment.
