Ruby and Dina were close roommates. When Ruby discovered Dina was the long-lost daughter of the wealthy Haynes family, she became consumed by jealousy and greed. Obsessed with fitting into high society, she took out high-interest online loans to buy luxury items, copied Dina's lifestyle, and pretended to be a rich heiress to win a wealthy boyfriend. What started as small lies soon turned into a crushing debt crisis. Trapped by her vanity, Ruby made one bad choice after another until she finally crossed the point of no return.
