Mia Xavier unexpectedly travels back 90 years and meets her great-grandfather, Daniel. Determined to prevent a massacre that will destroy her family, she brings her modern memories and a jade pendant representing the family legacy. In her timeline, Daniel was a promising marshal of the Republic who was killed by Commander Zane and Adjutant Collins on the day his son was to be betrothed to Zane's daughter. The Xavier family was wiped out, leaving only her grandfather, Shawn, alive but permanently disabled.
