A woman remakes her life by finally standing up to her family. What starts as one argument spirals into disputes over money, marriages, who cares for the aging mother, and unpaid child support. Old wounds resurface. Police get called. Misunderstandings pile up alongside sudden revelations about what the previous generation was hiding. Through it all, the women find ways to push forward, though fresh problems keep surfacing. Everyone's responsibilities and desires tangle together in ways nobody expected. By the end, even the neighbors are talking.
