Cara had been Dean's assistant and the woman he loved. At a party, they accidentally spent the night together. Later, Cara was pressured by her mother to ask Dean for money, which made him misunderstand that she had been trying to get close to him all along. When Cara became pregnant, Melina intentionally created difficulties, causing Dean to hate Cara even more. Ultimately, due to a falsified paternity test, Cara was cast out with her child. Struggling with brain cancer, she tried her best to care for her daughter. However, weighed down by her mother's traditional bias toward sons and Dean's indifference, she lost the courage to continue. By the time Dean rushed to the hospital, all he could see was the child kneeling in supplication to the doctor and Cara's lifeless face.
