Frost and Fever Bound to the Monster centers on Elara, whose blood burns like living fire and serves as the last heat source in a frozen apocalypse. When the Citadel's coldest assassin, Kael, is sent to kill her, a violent encounter fuses her heat into his veins and curses them—if they stray more than ten meters apart, he will combust and she will freeze to death.
