When a beast plague ravages Riverport, the Grand Exam becomes a desperate fight for survival. Dawn, who transformed into a Beast Tamer through genetic change and hunted the black market for his first spirit beast, joins Sunny and others to hunt down the Dryad threatening the city. After the city recognizes their victory, Dawn pivots toward something harder: joining the elite Dragonfire Taskforce. Before that lay school conflicts, potion dealings, and rivalries that tested whether they could actually work together.
