Don't Beg When I'm Gone centers on Colin, a military doctor in the 1980s whose life unravels under his parents' favoritism for his adopted brother Justin and the betrayal of his fiancée. He calls off the engagement, severs ties with the Davis family, and departs with Commander Kirk for a transfer to the capital — leaving before his loved ones uncover Justin's lies.
