Demons Off Duty follows Lucas, a retired Human Sovereign keeping a low profile while running a city care home. When he tames an indescribable god that treated people cruelly—recasting it as a floor-sweeping elder, a gatekeeping dog and a boiler-room companion—he unexpectedly ends up saving the world.
