When modern doctor Nina awakens as the revered ancestor of her clan, she makes up her mind to correct the future. Confronting the crippled wastrel Paul from the family prophecy, she forces him to rise. He smashes his wheelchair and stands. Under her tutelage in the medical arts, Paul ascends to become Head of the Imperial Medical Bureau, restoring their family's glory. Nina proudly says that she has single-handedly dragged eighteen generations of ancestors back on course.
