Gavin descended the mountain to find his childhood friend, only to rescue Kyla from assassins and be forced into a hasty marriage. Posing as a bodyguard, he protected her family, confronting foes like Mr. K and a malevolent deity. He discovered the deity was the one who murdered his father and burned down the orphanage, awakening his ancestral blade technique to exact vengeance. In the end, he confirmed that Kyla was the very childhood sweetheart he had been searching for.
