A Parent's Funeral follows Eleanor Caldwell as she tries to restart her life—taking a job after eight years as a housewife just as her daughter Emma begins school. A medical emergency, a broken phone, and a secret kept by her husband Gideon and the Stanton matriarch deny Eleanor a final farewell and bring her under her father's furious demand to submit to clan rules at the funeral.
