About this game

Rift Shards is a fast survivor-like: enemies close in from every side, your weapons fire on their own, and everything depends on how you move and what you upgrade. WHAT'S INSIDE: • 3 classes: Mechanic, Assault, Technician — each with its own style and ability • 9 weapon branches of 5 grades — 45 weapons, each playing differently: saws, drills, lightning, shotguns, grenades, rockets, beams, cryo, gravity • Mods: pierce, ricochet, blast, burn, freeze, lifesteal • Bosses every few minutes, with phases and unique attacks • Endless mode: play as long as you can hold out • Workshop: turn cores from each run into permanent upgrades • Leaderboard by survival time Every run is a new build. Find the combo that wipes the rift.

How to play

CONTROLS • Desktop: WASD or arrow keys to move. You can also hold the left mouse button and your character walks to the cursor. • Phone and tablet: touch the screen and a joystick appears there. Drag to run; the farther from the center, the faster you go. COMBAT Weapons fire automatically at the nearest enemies — no aiming needed. Your job is to avoid being surrounded and to pick the right upgrades. PROGRESSION • Killed enemies drop shards. Collect them to level up and choose an upgrade. • At milestones you pick a weapon branch, then grow it up to grade 5. • Cores earned in a run are spent in the Workshop on permanent bonuses. TIPS • Keep moving: most damage comes from touching the crowd. • Line enemies up — piercing weapons then hit several at once. • Against a boss keep your distance and dodge the telegraphed attacks.
