Plinker

Plinker is an idle game about falling balls. A ball makes its way through a field of pins, bounces around and lands in one of the bins below: the middle pays little, the edges pay big.

About this game

Balls refill on their own, auto-drop throws them for you, and everything you earn goes into upgrades: ball value, spawn and auto-drop speed, stock size, payout bonus and the chance of a Ɨ5 critical hit. The board grows with you. Every level adds a row of pins below or on the right and raises the level of every bin, while the bins also level up from hits. When there is nowhere left to grow, rank up: progress resets, but your income is doubled for good. Five ranks in total. Levels unlock 10 ball styles, from Classic to Inferno and Galaxy. Progress is saved, and it plays on both phone and desktop.

How to play

Tap the board and a ball leaves the stock. It makes its way down through the rows of pins and lands in a bin; the further from the centre, the bigger the payout. The stock refills by itself, so you can keep dropping. Spend coins on the upgrades in the panel next to the board: ball value, spawn speed, stock size, payout bonus and the Ɨ5 critical hit. Auto-drop is an upgrade of its own ā€” buy it and the START button starts dropping balls for you. The level button fills up as you earn. Once it lights up, press it: the board gets another row of pins, or +1 level to every bin. Bins also level up on their own, from the hits they take. At level 15 the button turns into "Rank up": upgrades reset, but all income is doubled permanently. The Ɨ2 ad button doubles income for 10 minutes.
