Knightly Tourney: Lance Rhythm

A knightly tournament where your strike power builds up on rhythm. Before each pass you pick your horse's speed and your target: the shield is a big, safe target; the helm is small but pays a high multiplier. During the charge, dots appear, each with a ring closing in around it. Tap when the ring meets the dot - consecutive hits multiply your power, a miss resets the streak. The final dot decides the pass: beat the opponent's threshold and you knock them out of the saddle.

About this game

Ten locations, forty knights, and each one has its own dot pattern: some jump between the edges of the screen, others swerve sideways, and the Pale Queen demands that you don't strike at all. Every boss you defeat unlocks new gear and a new location.

How to play

Press “START JOUSTING”. Before the run, pick your horse's speed and your strike area - the golden mark shows your foe's weak spot, and hitting it gives a power multiplier. Then press “START THE RUN”. Beats will appear on the field, each with a ring closing in around it. Tap the beat at the moment the ring meets it: a precise hit gives more power, and hits in a row build into a streak. A miss resets the streak. The last beat of the run is the lance strike itself. If by then your power is above your foe's threshold and you hit the final beat, the knight flies out of the saddle. A bout runs to three wins. On a phone the game is played with taps. On a computer: space to ride out, click the beats with the mouse. Progress saves itself, and a tournament you have started can be continued from the menu.
