Each has an epilogue. A hidden "Rootedness" mechanic counts how you actually lived this year, not just your words. Create your hero: choose your name and age (18-45). The story, appearance, city, school, and apartment adapt to your choices. Can you find a home on the other side of the world?

Energy is limited, so you can't do everything in one day: take a shift at the konbini (for money and real-life Japanese), do remote work (for those who bought a desk), prep for the JLPT, spin the gachapon, visit the furniture store, or sleep until the next day. Mini-games trigger during events: catch what the cashier mumbled, shape momo, catch fish at a festival, hit the beat at a concert, or pack a typhoon survival kit. You can win or lose each one — the result affects your reward, but failure doesn't end the story. Your choices affect relationships with characters and the hidden "Rootedness" parameter, which determines which of the 30 endings you will unlock. Progress is saved automatically at every step: you can close the tab and return later. Unlocked endings are collected in the Gallery. Use the gear icon to access settings: adjust volume, text speed, and exit.
