How to play

Space Out is a 2D arcade game about bouncing balls against blocks to remove them from space using just the mouse. To move the board, all you need to do is move the cursor left and right and the paddle will follow it sharply. The balls will bounce on their own and any modifications will trigger as soon as you collect them. The goal is to clear out all the blocks in the level to complete it and move on to the next one. If you lose all of the balls to the bottom of the screen, you'll lose. When you start playing, the ball will be launched from the paddle at the center at the bottom of the screen. The ball will maintain a constant speed but will bounce differently based on the angle of contact with anything. Blocks of different colors can take multiple hits to break and will change color after every hit. As you break blocks, power-ups will drop from them which you can collect with the paddle. These can do things like multiply the number of balls in play or give the paddle laser guns which can destroy blocks directly. The more blocks you destroy, the more power-ups you can have in play.
