How to play

Race Time is a 2D top-down racing game where you're street-racing to climb the ranks using the keyboard. The A and D keys are used to move the key left and right respectively, while the S key is used to activate the boost once the meter at the bottom fills to level 5. You can also press the W to try and get power-up offers when they appear. The goal is to win races to earn money and become the best racer. No matter how you do in a race, you can keep trying it again until you're satisfied. The main menu gives you the chance to check the current rankings and to visit the car shop. This is where you can spend your winnings and any cogs you've collected to buy new cars or upgrade the cars that you own. Once you've got your car all set, you can enter the race. You'll always start at the very back of a narrow road. After the race starts, your car will start accelerating and you simply need to steer it to collect parts and hit boosts to gain speed. You also need to steer to avoid obstacles like barricades and other cars. When you're able to activate your boost meter, you can use the speed to knock other cars off the road. As you pass cars, you'll move up your position, and the better you finish, the more you earn and the higher you climb in the rankings.
