The goal is to clear out all the minerals in a given area, collect all the gems, and then get safely to the exit. You'll have limited time to collect and mine everything with the timer being shown at the top of the screen. You don't need to worry about any monsters or traps trying to kill you, but you need to worry about wasting time. If the timer runs out, you'll need to retry the level again.
When the game starts, you'll spawn in one part of the mining area. The miner can move in a straight line through any stone blocks and will stop once they hit the bedrock surrounding the mining area. The exit will appear as a gray square that will change color once it has been activated. You can move the miner through any area multiple times and he will automatically collect any minerals and gems he comes across. Once everything has been collected, the exit will open and the miner can leave.
