How to play
Mr Superfire is a 2D run 'n' gun game that you can play with the mouse and just the keyboard.
Controls
Up Arrow/Left Mouse Button - Jump (tap again for Double Jump)
Left Arrow - Move Left
Right Arrow - Move Right
Down Arrow - Drop Through Platforms
When it comes to aiming and firing, the hero will do that automatically. When enemies are onscreen, he will aim and shoot at the closest one to his position in intervals. The goal of each level (or world) is to clear all the rooms and make it to the end.
Mr Superfire is a trained soldier who starts off with a basic handgun. As he enters each room, enemies will spawn in at different locations and elevations. You'll need to jump around to avoid their fire while also being in a position where you can have a clear shot at the targets. When all of them have been destroyed, you can collect the key and unlock the door to the next room. Enemies will be a mix of ground units and air units that will shoot a mix of projectiles from regular bullets to explosive rockets.
When enemies are destroyed, they'll drop useful items. These usually include coins, but can also be weapon parts for upgrades, and power-ups that affect your shots and health. There's the chance that while moving to the next room, you'll get the chance to choose an upgrade for your ammo such as making it split or allowing it to pierce multiple targets. These upgrades only last for the level.
At the character screen, you can equip Mr Superfire with several pieces of gear: A Gun, Ammo, Headwear, and Armor. You can earn these from Ability Chests for completing levels or by buying them with the coins you've collected.
