How to play

Brick Breaker Retro is a 2D arcade game about bouncing balls and breaking blocks using only the mouse. To move your paddle at the bottom of the screen, move the cursor over to it, hold down the Left Mouse Button, and then drag it left or right. Balls that hit the paddle will bounce back up differently depending on the angle they hit it. The goal is to clear out all the blocks in the level. Your hearts indicate how many times you miss the last ball and if you lose all of them, you'll need to retry. When you pick a level, the blocks will take up most of the screen while the paddle and starting ball will be centered at the bottom of the screen. Click to start playing and move the paddle to keep the ball in play. Dark gray blocks are unbreakable and you'll usually need to find gaps in them to get the ball through. As the ball destroys the colored blocks, power-ups will appear and fall to the bottom of the screen. They can either increase the length of your paddle or multiply the number of balls. Keep bouncing the balls around the level until all the colored blocks are destroyed.
