How to play

Blackriver Mystery: Hidden Objects is a 2D puzzle game about finding objects, matching things, and playing cars to save a city using the mouse. Everything in the game can be manipulated by moving over to it with the cursor, clicking it with the Left Mouse Button, and/or dragging it to where it needs to be. Your energy is tracked at the top of the screen while the different collections are shown at the bottom of the screen. The goal is to fulfill the requests of the various citizens and help restore Blackriver. When the game begins, citizens will direct you to specific areas where you'll encounter the first kind of puzzle: Finding objects. This requires looking through a specific area for a certain number of items that are tracked at the bottom of the screen. Simply click on them to collect them. You can also use investigative items shown in the bottom right corner, like Magnifying Glasses, to find specific objects. Click the time to collect it and once you find all of them, you'll be rewarded. The second kind of puzzle requires you to visit a field of gems to collect certain types of gems. To match gems, arrange similar gems in groups of three or more which will remove them and cause more gems to fall into place. The types of gems you need are tracked on the left side of the screen. When you've collected enough, the puzzle will be completed. The bigger matches you make, the more power-ups you'll get like Bombs, which will help clear large parts of the board. The final puzzle requires you to fight monsters. The point of fixing the city is to protect it from monster attacks but some will still make it through. It will be up to you to fight them by clicking on their icons. Yours and the monster's stats will appear on the left side of the screen, with cards taking up the rest of the screen. They'll be revealed briefly before being shuffled. You'll need to pick cards that harm the monster and help you. Once the monster's health drops to zero, you'll win the fight. The more you play, the more rewards and EXP you'll earn which can unlock new features and restore your energy.
