How to play

2029 Catpocalypse io is a 2D survivors-like game about cats fighting against monsters using the mouse or keyboard. To use the mouse, move the cursor around the screen while holding the Left Mouse Button to get the cat to move. The cat will attack automatically. Controls W/Up Arrow - Move Up S/Down Arrow - Move Down A/Left Arrow - Move Left D/Right Arrow - Move Right The goal is to hunt down as many monsters as you can while getting stronger and collecting resources. The cat's health and attack timer are shown as meters underneath it. If it runs out of health, the mission will end. The main menu acts as a hub where the cat can visit the shop to buy new items, equip/improve their gear, or evolve the cat's base stats. These all require different resources that are earned by killing monsters in the missions. You can do the main mission or the company missions to earn resources. When you start a mission, the cat will spawn in an open area of the location you've selected. They'll start with whatever weapon they have equipped, and enemies will appear from all sides. The cat will need to be aimed at enemies so that their attacks hit them directly. When enemies are defeated, they'll drop resources. In addition to coins, other loot can be collected to improve the cat's level, which is indicated by a green bar at the top. When it fills, the cat will level up and get a chance to choose a new upgrade that lasts for the rest of the mission.
